Change password for Anywhere365 Service Account

Anywhere365 Service Account

The service account for Anywhere365 is used for both the Windows Service “Unified Contact Center” and the IIS Application Pool “UCCServiceApplicationPool”.

Windows Service Unified Contact Center

  1. Open Windows Services on the Anywhere365 application server
  2. Select Windows Service “Unified Contact Center”
  3. Right-click Windows Service “Unified Contact Center”
  4. Select Properties
  5. Open tab “Log On”
  6. Change the password
  7. Confirm the password
  8. Click Apply
  9. Click Ok
  10. Right-click Windows Service “Unified Contact Center” again
  11. Click Restart
  12. Repeat step 1-11 for all other Anywhere365 application servers

 

IIS Application Pool UCCService ApplicationPool

  1. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager on the Anywhere365 application server
  2. In the right panel, select the current server (below Start Page)
  3. Click Application Pools
  4. Select Application Pool “UCCServiceApplicationPool”
  5. Right-click Application Pool “UCCServiceApplicationPool”
  6. Select Advanced Settings…
  7. Scroll down to Identity
  8. Select …
  9. Click Set…
  10. Fill in user name
  11. Fill in new password
  12. Confirm new password
  13. Click OK
  14. Click OK
  15. Click OK
  16. Repeat step 1-15 for all other Anywhere365 application servers

For each of these services follow the same steps as for changing the service account for the Windows Service “Unified Contact Center”.

 

Anywhere365 Reporting Account

To view reports a service account is configured to connect to the Anywhere365 Database.

  1. Navigate to the reporting services folder hosting all Anywhere365 Reports
    1. Either to SSRS directly via browser or to SharePoint if SSRS runs in integrated mode.
  2. Select the Data Source
  3. Click Manage
  4. Change the password
  5. Click Apply

 

Anywhere365 Interceptor Service

If the Anywhere365 InterceptorThe Interceptor is a service installed on the Lync / Skype for Business Front End(s). It monitors all the calls going over it. When a call going to or coming from an Agent it will come in to action. By intercepting that call and redirecting it you the Anywhere365, it lets you manage the Direct Inbound and Outbound dialogues of the Agents. is used, the password for the service account running this Windows Service should also be changed.

  1. Open Windows Services on the Front-End server
  2. Select Windows Service “Anywhere365 SipThe Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a protocol to make multimedia communication (audio, video and other data communication) possible and it is also used for Voice over IP (VoIP). SIP has similarities with other Internet protocols such as HTTP and SMTP. Interceptor Service”
  3. Right-click Windows Service “Anywhere365 Sip Interceptor Service”
  4. Select Properties
  5. Open tab “Log On”
  6. Change the password
  7. Confirm the password
  8. Click Apply
  9. Click Ok
  10. Right-click Windows Service “Anywhere365 Sip Interceptor Service” again
  11. Click Restart
  12. Repeat step 1-11 for all other Front-End servers running the Anywhere365 Interceptor Service

 

Anywhere365 CRM Extension Window

When a CRMCRM stands for Customer Relationship Management and is a method/technology for managing contacts of customers. CRM helps to offer each customer an individual value proposition based on its wishes. In addition, CRM makes it visible which customers represent higher value for the organization and therefore might be served in a different way. In the Settings list of the UCC, one of the following two possible can be available:

  1. CrmPassword
  2. CrmPasswordEncrypted

CrmPassword

  1. Navigate to the UCC Configuration website on SharePoint
  2. Open the Settings list
  3. Edit the Setting with Key: CrmPassword
  4. Fill in the new password
  5. Click Save
  6. Repeat step 1-5 for all UCCs

Note if you make use of the HEAT CRM Plugin, an encrypted CrmPassword will be used, but the value for this password is stored in the CrmPassword field (and not the CrmPasswordEncrypted field).

Therefore follow the steps for setting the CrmPasswordEncrypted field, but store the encrypted password in the CrmPassword field instead.

 

CrmPasswordEncrypted

  1. Open PasswordTool.exe
  2. Fill in the new password
  3. Copy the encrypted password
  4. Navigate to the UCC Configuration website on SharePoint
  5. Open the Settings list
  6. Edit the Setting with Key: CrmPassword
  7. Fill in the generated password
  8. Click Save
  9. Repeat step 4-8 for all UCCs

 

SQL Service Account

If Anywhere365 is assigned a dedicated SQL instance, using its own service account, the following applies.

  1. Run SQL Server Configuration Manager as Administrator on the SQL Server
  2. In the left panel, browse to “SQL Server Services”
  3. In the right panel, select SQL Server (<A365 Instance>)
  4. Right-click the service “SQL Server (<A365 Instance>)” and select Properties
  5. Change the password
  6. Confirm the password
  7. Click Apply
  8. Click Ok
  9. Right-click the service “SQL Server (<A365 Instance>)” again and select Restart
  10. Repeat step 1-7 for other SQL servers

 

SharePoint Service Account

If Anywhere365 is assigned a dedicated SharePoint Farm or SharePoint Site Collection, using its own service account, the following applies.

Windows Services

  1. Open Windows Services on the SharePoint server
  2. Select Windows Service “AppFabric Caching Service”
  3. Right-click Windows Service “AppFabric Caching Service”
  4. Select Properties
  5. Open tab “Log On”
  6. Change the password
  7. Confirm the password
  8. Click Apply
  9. Click Ok
  10. Right-click Windows Service “AppFabric Caching Service” again
  11. Click Restart
  12. Repeat step 1-11 for the following services
    1. SharePoint Timer Service
    2. SharePoint User Code Host
  13. Repeat step 1-12 for all other SharePoint servers

IIS Appliation Pools

  1. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager on the SharePoint server
  2. In the right panel, select the current server (below Start Page)
  3. Click Application Pools
  4. Select Application Pool “SecurityTokenServiceApplicationPool”
  5. Right-click Application Pool “SecurityTokenServiceApplicationPool”
  6. Select Advanced Settings…
  7. Scroll down to Identity
  8. Select …
  9. Click Set…
  10. Fill in user name
  11. Fill in new password
  12. Confirm new password
  13. Click OK
  14. Click OK
  15. Click OK
  16. Repeat step 1-15 for all other IIS Application Pools that use the service account
    1. E.g. <web application name> - <port>
    2. SharePoint Central Administration v4
  17. Repeat step 1-16 for all other Anywhere365 application servers

SharePoint Managed Accounts

  1. Open SharePoint Central Administration
  2. Click Security
  3. Click Configure managed accounts
  4. Click the edit-icon for the service account
  5. Check Change password now
  6. Check Set account password to new value
  7. Fill in password
  8. Confirm password
  9. Click OK
